Missed Miscarriage: Women can experience a miscarriage without knowing it. A missed miscarriage is when embryonic death has occurred but there is not any expulsion of the embryo. It is not known why this occurs. Signs of this would be a loss of pregnancy symptoms and the absence of fetal heart tones found on an ultrasound.
Its a hard reality for me to accept but at the same time I am glad that I found out earlier.

I agree that its good that you found out earlier. some people dah 7 mths lah n so on suddenly gone. i think that will be much more worse. you are still young & strong, i'm sure you will keep on trying. dont give up! be strong!...nobody wants this to happen. this is what i experienced & it happened to me before. 3 months plus then its GONE!...hard for me & hubby & i cried a lot. my hubby was always staring into space. but then i move on & still trying till now...i hope you will too...you will have another 1 soon ok...*hugs*...
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you. I'm sure nothing anyone says can make the situation you are in better but try to think positive, as hard as it is. I have a friend who recently loss her baby at 5 months and had to give birth to it stillborn and when I speak to her, I feel thankful for my miscarriages that happened all in the first trimester and I didn't have to go through what she did. After a positive pregnancy test, there's about a one in five chance of having an early miscarriage. This is when most miscarriages happen. For ur future preg or when u r planning for one.. do take Folic Acid. It helps the embryo/foetus development. Also, Sis... no offence ya... there is pantang for chinese plp and even malay... before u reach 3mths in pregnancy, you should never disclose to public or even frens except for close family members. That is the pantang lah... u knowlah sometime plp can cast evil eye on u... - rinairfan

ReplyDeleteyup rina...many have warn me about that pantang but being non-superstitious, i never take heed and was too overly excited....
insya Allah, when the next opportunities come, i will take more precautions.... :)
Good luck with the D & C tomorrow. I have had 2 before and I find that the nervousness and physical pain after the procedure is nothing compared with the emotional and mental despair. My third miscarriage required surgery as I had internal bleeding. Support from spouse and family would help a lot. Have lots of rest and have lots of nutritious food with no additives, etc after. Take care and stay strong! Keep your body and mind time to recover for the next 3 - 4 months.
