The act of giving......DISCOUNTS.

Today, I participated in a flea market at Eunos Crescent organised by Ain Society. Although sales was slow, the perspiration that I went through and the sudden downpour that came in the late afternoon didn't dampen my spirit. Its great to know that the rental collections from the stalls went to the needy under the Ain Society. It may not be much that comes from me but I hope it lightens the burden of the needys.
I look like Po from the Teletubbies......Agree?
Seriously, I looked so B.I.G in this dress! Bought it almost a year ago but didnt really have the chance to wear due to its "sapu-lantai" length. But now with BIG tum tum, Im wearing it comfortably (and looking extremely HEYUGE.)

After countless attempts, failed "video-on-but-dowan-to-move"moment, I finally got this video of Soya Bean having a wild time in my tummy last night!

Keep your eye on the white patch on my tee shirt.

Oh yes...that's me laughing in amusement at the end!

If You Are Thinking About Plastic Surgery.......

If you are thinking of doing plastic surgery, think again. This topic comes randomly from this boring grey cells of mine. Well, after browsing endless hours 'admiring' my looks over the years, I realised how much I have changed. From the skin, complexion, hair colour, face shape and of course till I got married and put on the hijab.

I thanked Allah for what He has bestowed to me. I may not have the most beautiful eyes, the perfect nose, the kissable pouty lips, the milky white, clear complexion or even the body to die for but I am still contented coz with the looks I am blessed with now are the very reasons that I know comes from my parents. :)

My parents as you can see from this picture (heheh...I think this was during their "baru-kenal-dating2x" time). Mak has very fair skin thanks to her Chinese grandfather and Bugis mother. I heard that my maternal grandma had very fair and porcelain-like complexion. Sadly, she passed away when Mak was only two years of age. And Mak also has a pair of warm, dark brown eyes. Not too small, not too big.

Papa, on the other hand embodies the typical "manly" description. Tall, dark and yes, handsome! He has sharp nose and well-chiselled jawline. And yes....he looks Indian in this picture. But still HANDSOME. Agree?

And into their 7 years of marriage (in 1974), I made an appearance in September 1981. Obviously, I had no baby photos of myself which I personally think IS a TRAGEDY.

Yes...this is me in 2005/6. WAS skinny but still crazy. *wink* I dont have Papa's straight nose like my younger sis does but LUCKILY hor, my nose bridge is considered 'high'. LOL!

FYI: This pix was classical-ly taken from my 'classic' NOKIA 6233, hokay.

I have bad under eye circles too.

OMG. Ditch those glassess...I did! Oh yes...I do miss those hair. And oohh yes yes!! This was somewhere in 2006 I think when I just got engaged. See that ring?! Engagement didnt turned out well and of course, I ended marrying someone else. But like how most stories go, the rest is history.

I have to admit that during my primary school days, I was considered one of those srawny-sickly kid who was very unpopular. On top of that, I was a quiet child. So to cut the story short, when I reached poly days with some pocket money from giving tuitions, I invested in some 'good and cheap' facial wash and products like BIORE (the cheapest), Fair & Lovely and Hazeline Snow.

Me and my 2nd sis would place this 'magical' snow cream tub in the fridge and would lather it on our face. The cooling effect gave us that tingling feeling and the scent was nice too! At THAT time, it was like the BEST facial product to us. I guess it does benefit my skin coz I do not have acne/pimple breakouts and my complexion did lighten a little.

When the self-esteem builds up, I tried modelling. (without Mak's approval, of course!) Mentelzz kan aku. I took part in CLEO Magazine Cover Girl Search in 2004 with my SHORT hair... YES. I did have short hair once upon a time. I didnt win of course but to be one of the top 10 girls, gave good feeling!

Short hair that I didnt really like. I looked like one Ah Lian.

This was after a TV show recording for a Najip Ali's variety show in 2006. Make-up courtesy of a long-time make-up artist friend, Wati. :)

Some studio photoshoot...Make-up done by ahermm..yours truly. :))

Over time, when I start earning my own keeps, I invest in more well-known facial products like St Ives and Olay which I am still religiously using. I swear by its benefits!

Slowly, I begin to discover those circle and coloured lenses. Its amazing how a pair of coloured and large lens can change your looks dramatically. Like all (okay, maybe NOT all but still many out there...) girls, I started to experiment with it for the obvious reason that I am VAIN. I took up make-up courses too and used my own face as the canvas.

With COOL colour circle lens in Grey. Still my favourite till now. See how big my eyes are? No double eyelid surgery needed!
And so at that time, copper coloured hair with Grey circle lens were my favourite! So feeling macam pompuan paling cantik lah gitu... Hahhahaahha!!!

Then Mak started to tell me off due to my 'copper-to-almost-blonde' hair. So, I chose to be black after that. Still, I love how dark hair and the grey lens compliment the look.

Black circle lens really made my eyes popped and looked so big!!

Now ladies, before you start to ramble on saying how vain I am (but I do admit I am), this blog entry with gazillion pictures of the self-conceited me, is to prove a point that you seriously DO NOT NEED plastic surgery. With the current make-up tutorials (& tricks) on Youtube, falsies and circle coloured lens, you still can play around with the way you look without changing what you already have.

You can see from the pictures I posted here how my looks changed and transformed just by make-up, circle lens and different hair colour. And strictly, no surgery enhancement needed.

No matter how tiny or huge your eyes are, no matter how big or crooked your nose is or how thin or thick your lips are, make-up always do the trick. You are unique so love yourself ladies!

For obvious reasons, we dont need another Cher, you know.

And here's ME with my current look... Circle lens, minimal make-up and now, with hijab.

I looked different but I am still ME. :)

Go Figure!!

During this time, numbers come in handy. For me, that is. Each number means alot to me now and Im getting all paranoid with every number that I see that obviously concerns me.

Im talking about my increasing tummy width and weight, of course as the weeks past. At 23 weeks 6 days, I was already at 61.5kg with a tummy width of 98cm. That's huge lemme tell you (according to the gynae). As for now, the weight is acceptable and I shudder to think if I would be bigger & heavier as the weeks go by.

23 weeks 6 days...

At 24 weeks ~ 6 months! Gosh! I looked like I hid a watermelon underneath the blouse!

And of course, there were times when I underestimate myself. Just yesterday I bought an L size stretchable plum-coloured long sleeve 3/4 dress. Mak was asking whether I wanted to try it on first. Thinking that the material was strecthable enough, I just took it and was pretty confident that I can fit into it!
Alas! Fit it was...but I looked like a gigantic piece of grape!! Oh gosh...I really love the material but looking at those 'curves' on my body, I had to consider putting on that dress with a long , sleeveless cardigan instead. Showing off too many 'curves' now isnt too...nice, yah..? :)

Here's the round me (& tummy) before heading to the recent Search & XPDC Concert last Saturday. SEARCH RAWKS BIG TIME, I must say!!

Ok..ok...I know I looked like a candy-coloured balloon here........ "_"

The man who's responsible for the BIG tummy... LOL.

And as of today, Im entering my 27th weeks and 3days already. And the tummy is a whooping....GASP..... 100.5cm wide!! Before you wonder how heavy I am now...Sorry, cant answer you that coz I myself have not weigh myself ever since the last visit to my gynae. So...you can go and "agak-agak" la hor.....

And yes, I feel heavy and all. That goes without saying.... Can you see the lethargicness on my face? This pix was taken at 6.30am in the morning, getting ready for morning shift while the hubby was snoring away after Subuh prayer. That explains the 'cropped'. Must respect the hubby, so no sleeping and 'tak glamour' pixs of him! *winkx*

Ooh yes...we changed the position of the bed together with the cupboards and shelves to make some space for the Lil One. Once she make her appearance (Insya Allah), her baby bed will be able to fit in nicely right in front of our own bed making it easy for us to tend to her. Errmmmm, we will come to it more when the actual day comes ehh... hehe!

Our lomantic room.... Loike it..???
