1st to 4th Week Journey

Some might already known about the latest thing that happened to my life. And seriously, the news brought me over the moon and beyond!
But first, Alhamdullilah and all praises to Allah for granting me what I have been praying for.

Yes.... now I am beginning my first crucial steps in the first trimester of pregnancy.
*huge smilezzz*
However, families have told me to bear in mind not to be too overzealous and overly active right now as this is always the most crucial time of all. The 'thing' in me may be slightly bigger than the full stop at the end of this sentence but caring for it is NOT a small matter.

Last week, when the 'angel' did not come, I was actually jumping in my heart but fearing for a false alarm, I waited for 5 more days before deciding on the most common detection: Home Pregnancy Test Kit.

This was the test that I did at home. Too bad hubby was off to work already and couldnt share the news with him. My mum was the first to know of course, hahahahah!!! I smiled and grinned like a xiao cha bor in the bathroom before asking my mum to close her eyes and showed the kit to her!
As this kit couldnt be kept for more than 10minutes, I took a pix of it for the husband's sake. Naturally, he was hoping for a boy already although we both know it is way too early to tell.

Everything else seems normal for me with some slight changes in my chest and tummy. And it isnt a good change though. I was already telling the hubby that I might need a whole new collections of lingerie as I get bigger!! Just imagine how a tiny 'poppy seed' can create a whole new change in a woman's body!

Last night I had the worst giddy & migraine spell right after the MCYS briefing on Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease at the Rock Auditorium. (Btw, if you are a parent with young kids, do take extra precautions as the HFMD virus is circulating really bad)

The walk to City Hall MRT seemed forever and I had to walk by the side and used the walls as support. My throat got so dry due to fasting and having the weird metallic taste in my mouth added up to the already difficult situation. Boarding the train was another story: You guessed it. No seats. Oh, well. No one can really tell that Im pregnant (jangan perasan eh...perut masih kecik, babat jer lebih) and so I cannot expect someone to offer me a seat. Despite the impending pain in my head, I held on to the handle and kept swallowing my 'metallic' saliva and forced myself not to sway and eventually fall down.

By the time I got home I asked the Hubb to give me a slight massage on my left sole. See, how the pain in my head got spread to the sole of my feet? It made me wonder too. Right after buka and Maghrib prayers, I told hub to look at my very pale lips. And before I knew it, I was slumped on the bed till 8:50PM when mum got into the room. I got up and did Isyak. The pain didnt go away, unfortunately. Felt like taking the Panadol but I heard some who advised against taking it during pregnancy. Temperature was running at 37.2C. My tears flowed as the pain was so bad. That's when I buzzed the Hubb to come back quickly from terawih as I wanted to see the doctor. He came back just before 9:30pm.

Funnily, I was the last patient. Hubb reminded me to seek the doctor's advice on the pregnancy test that I did few days back. And so, the whole procedure was done again and the doctor confirmed that the embryo in me is already 4 weeks and 5 days old. He prescribed me a mild Paracetamol which I guess didnt really help coz Im still having this giddiness.

Doc allowed me to keep this kit which remained the same despite me keeping it for the past hours!!

Now, Im at home, still nursing the bad giddiness. And having the constructions drilling things around is not a good help either.

Just hope Hubb can get home early today so he can help me massage my feet and head.
:)

Just sharing with all of you how early pregnancy happened:
